Tetracycline.

Tetracycline is a medicine intended for the treatment of bacterial infections, such as Lyme disease, infection that causes stomach ulcers, infections of skin, respiratory tract infections, acne, infection of genital and urinary systems, and prevention of anthrax. This medicine is supposed to be taken from two to four times daily depending on the recommendations of your health care provider. You are supposed to take each dose with a full glass of water to make sure the dose is efficient for you. Make sure you report to your health care provider any of the following medications that may interact with tetracycline (in case you are taking them): isotretinoin, penicillin antibiotics, tretinoin, antacids, minerals, blood thinners, and cholesterol-lowering medications. Tetracycline is not expected to cause serious side effect if taken as recommended but mild side effects are still possible and may include trouble swallowing, mild nausea, sores or swelling in your rectal or genital area, vomiting, swollen tongue, stomach upset, diarrhea, and vaginal itching. There is no need to report the mild side effects mentioned unless they get bothersome or interfere with your everyday life.
